KATHMANDU: Kathmandu district government attorney Brajesh Pyakurel on Thursday said a separate attempt-to-murder case was filed against journalists Rishi Dhamala, Ram Shuvak Mahato and Birendra Kumar Mahato in Kathmandu District Court.

Earlier, the Kathmandu DAO began hearing on a case against the journalists. They were arrested on the charge of affiliation with Ranabir Sena, which owned up a blast in Kathmandu last year. The trio has been charged under arms and ammunition act.

The hearing delved into whether or not to release them on bail to proceed the case against them. The hearing will resume at 10 am on Friday.
