Apex court, NBA hold meeting

Kathmandu: The Supreme Court and the Nepal Bar Association on Sunday held a joint meeting to discuss on ways to provide justice on time and handle backlog cases quickly.

A high-level committee, led by senior most SC Justice Min Bahadur Rayamajhi, and coordination committee of the Nepal Bar Association, led by president Bishwo Kanta Mainali, discussed on several issues in the judiciary. The representatives of bar and bench held discussions on ways to resolve problems plaguing the judiciary.

Justices Anup Raj Sharma, Ram Prasad Shrestha, Khil Raj Regmi, Registrar Ram Krishna Timalsena and assistant SC spokesperson Hemanta Rawal and former NBA presidents Shambhu Thapa and Harihar Dahal, vice-presidents Hari Uprety and Mukunda Paudel and treasurer Sabita Bhandari Baral took part in the meeting.

“We discussed on the ways to solve the problem with mutual cooperation,” Rawal said.
