Appeal to reopen Rautahat academic institutes amid unrest
RAUTAHAT: Due to the strikes and bandhs called by agitating parties and groups, schools, colleges and other academic institutes remained closed for last three weeks in Rautahat.
Realising that the closure has imposed a negative impact on students,concerned stakeholders have appealed to the protesters to create an environment to reopen the institutes as soon as possible.
Issuing a statement today, Rautahat districtr committee of Nepal Public Campus Association and private and public institutes appealed to the agitators to create an environment to reopen the institutions as the closure affected thousands of students .
The press statement signed by the Maharshi Balmiki Campus Chief Naresh Prasad Keshari, the Nepal Public Campus Association Chief Chandeshwor Raut and the Gaurishankar Yadav Campus Chief Ramesh Kumar Shreevastav have condemned the supressing policy of the government, the shooting on "peaceful" Madhesi People, who have been on a movement to reassure their rights in the constitution.
They also appealed to the government to address their demands to maintain peace in society as the earliest.
