Army, Maoist actions flayed

Human rights activists have stated that one of the five Maoists killed in security operation at Pakhribas, Bhandara of Chitwan on May 13 was forced out of his home. Making public a report at a press conference in Bharatpur today, they said two security persons in plain clothes had abducted Tika Adhikari, 34, of Kankali Poultry Pvt Ltd at Ladari in Chainpur VDC-7 from his house.

Quoting the wife of the deceased, the report said security forces had called her to take the body after four days but did not hand it over. The Maoists had accepted the remaining four including Rishi Regmi, Anu Lama, Manoj Chaudhary and Ram Bahadur Khadka as their cadres.

In Hetauda, the Human Rights Forum, Makawanpur, in a press release issued today condemned the Maoists for bombing the house of former RNA personnel Chandra Bahadur Parajuli at Piple of Hetaunda-5 on Friday.
