RAUTAHAT: Nepal Army personnel have been mobilised to guard the District Prison located in Gaur, the district headquarters of Rautahat, from yesterday evening.

A troop of army from the Shree Baks Barrack was deployed after a written request was filed by the District Administration Office.

According to Sanjeev Bhandari, Chief of the Barrack, his Barrack acted as per direction from the higher authority, keeping in mind the security sensitivity of the district.

The army is only deployed to guard the outer layer whereas police are responsible to guard inner shells of the jail.
