All four of a family arrested on Tuesday on the charge of beating up an old Dalit woman, which led to fracturing her arms, have been released. The accused were released after they agreed to meet the treatment cost of the victim, the District Police Office said.

Bir Bahadur GC, his wife Shyam Kali GC, son Durga Bahadur GC and daughter Bhagawati GC were arrested on the charge of beating up Deumati Darji, 60, of Dhamja- 7. They are to provide Rs 3,000 to the victim. It is said Durga Bahadur had an affair with Seti, the daughter of Deumati.
