Rajbiraj, January 30:
General secretary of Nepal Sadbhawana Party (Anandi Devi) Hridesh Tripathi has said that a constituent assembly would help resolve the political crisis.
He said this while talking to journalists in Rajbiraj today.
“If all go in favour of a constituent assembly, the problem of surrendering the weapons being used by the Maoists can also be solved,” he said. The demand for a constituent assembly has been raised since 1952 and no one need to worry about the demand of a constituent assembly,” he said.
“Neglecting the demand of the constituent assembly might bring about chronic problems in the country,” he said blaming the UML of stepping back on the issue. The demand of reinstatement of House of Representatives raised by the Nepali Congress is one way to go to the constituent assembly.
He said peace talks would be possible under the mediation of China and India.
