CHITWAN: An assistant driver was severely injured after falling off a cliff in Khahare Khola of Chandibhanjyang VDC-5 along the Narayangarh-Mugling road section on Sunday.

Surya Lama (23) of Chandranigahapur-1 in Rauthahat district fell off the cliff and stuck in bushes on the slope while he was giving instruction to the truck (Na 5 Kha 7739) driver to reverse the vehicle, the District Police Office, Chitwan informed.

The truck was heading towards Mugling when the incident occurred.

Immediately after the Area Police Office, Mugling, it deployed a team to the incident site and rescued Lama.

Lama is receiving treatment at the Bharatpur-based Chitwan Medical College.
