KATMANDU: An assistant driver died in a tractor accident at Tulsipur in Dang district on Thursday.

The deceased has been identified as Mahesh Chaudhary (17) of Tulsipur-9 in the district.

Chaudhary breathed his last during the course of treatment at the Rapti Zonal Hospital of Tulsipur.

Police said that the tractor (Ra 1 Ta 2384) was heading towards Tulsipur from Rukum when the incident occurred at around 7:45 pm yesterday.

Police said that they are searching for the tractor driver who fled the scene after the accident.
