Baban Singh seeks help

Rautahat, May 9:

Constituent Assembly member Baban Singh, who won the election from Rautahat-1, has sought the help of rights activists and journalists to take the oath of the office as a CA member.

In a press statement issued today, he claimed that he won the election as per the wishes of the people. He said some political parties were conspiring against him and were trying to prevent him from taking the oath. He said he would attend the first meeting of the CA only if his security were guaranteed. He accused the local police administration of plotting his murder at the call of some groups. He also complained against restriction of his right to move freely. Baban Singh has been accused of masterminding serial blasts in Kathmandu on September 2 and is absconding.
