BAGLUNG: Police in Baglung on Tuesday reportedly arrested a man in possession of five kilograms of banned narcotics hashish.

The arrested has been identified as Khim Bahadur Ghartimagar (30) of Nishikhola Rural Municipality-5 in the district.

Ghartimagar was arrested from a passenger bus after a police team on regular checking found hashish in his possession at Jhiwakhola, at around 11:30 am yesterday, according to Police Inspector Krishna Rana at the Area Police Office, Burtibang.  He was travelling on towards Burtibang from Bhalkot.

Inspector Rana said, the transportation of drugs from Rukum district to Pokhara and Kathmandu via Baglung is presently prevalent.

Meanwhile, the arrested has been handed over to the District Police Office, Baglung for further investigation into the case, police informed.
