Kadhaan Singh Mahara of Puchaudi Municipality-10 of Baitadi district, has been accused of killing his daughter.
Mahara allegedly fired a shot at his daughter Belmati, 20, who died on the spot of her injuries. He also torched one of his houses after the killing, informed Ward Chair Jeet Bahadur Bista.
Spokesperson and Police Inspector of Baitadi District Police Office (DPO), Bahadur Dhami reported that a debate with his wife led to the killing of his married daughter, who had come to her parents' home on Saturday evening.
It has been learnt that Mahara is married to two women, Belmati's mother being the first wed spouse. The second wife has also been alleged of being involved in the case, Mahara and Belmati had a discussion where Belmati was evidently supporting her mother, shared Chair Bista.
Mahara is currently out of reach. Police Inspector Dhami shared that Mahara, who was carrying a gun, threatened to shoot whoever comes near him.
Police are currently on the look out for Kadhaan Singh. The incident site has been sealed by the police at present.
