BAITADI: A school in Baitadi district has been shut down after as many as 30 students fainted one after the other since Monday.

An immediate meeting of the Latinath Higher Secondary School's Management Committee has decided to keep the school shut till next Monday, informed a local guardian Dinesh Singh.

After entering the school, many students of grades 8, 9 and 10 started getting sick, screamed and fainted one after another on Monday, said Principal Krishna Bahadur Singh.

The cause behind the suspected mass hysteria is yet to be ascertained.
