Gautam claims UML will win in Province 2

Bara, September 14

CPN-UML Deputy Chairperson Bam Dev Gautam today claimed that his party would emerge the most powerful winning majority of seats in the local level election slated for September 18 in Province 2.

Addressing an election gathering of the party at Parawanipur Rural Municipality today, Gautam argued his party was working for the people and the country while the ruling coalition was running after their vested interests. “Hence, there is no alternative to the CPN-UML,” argued Gautam.

He elaborated that UML was battling against social discrimination, advocating the rights of victms, marginalised people, peasants, labourers, ethnic communities and women. He boasted that his party had allocated a huge sum of budget for development of Tarai and Madhes, when the party was leading the government.

Gautam claimed that his party would emerge the largest force after provincial and parliamentary elections and head the government, which would manage a job for each household of the Tarai and Madhes by reviving old industries and setting up new ones as well. He also said that the allowance for elderly citizens would be hiked to Rs 5,000 from the existing Rs 2,000.
