Bandh affects normal life in Eastern Region

KAKARBHITTA: Normal life in the Eastern Region has been affected due to a bandh imposed by the Limbuwan State Council on Saturday.

The Council has been observing August 6 as a 'black day' for what it calls the day when King Prithvi Narayan Shah annexed the Limbuwan state in course of unification of the modern state of Nepal.

The bandh was organised to mark the same.

As a result, public transportation service has come to a halt in the districts of the Eastern Region like Jhapa, Ilam, Sunsari, Morang, Taplejung and Sankhuwasabha among others.
