Bandh hits Banke, Kapilvastu

BANKE: Following the bandh called by Terai Madhes Democratic Party (TMDP) and Tarun Dal, sister wing of the Nepali Congress, vehicular movement on Friday has been obstructed in Kapilbastu and Banke districts respectively.

Tarun Dal called the Banke bandh after one of its cadres Subash Barnawal was killed by an unidentified gang on Wednesday night. Vehicles were not allowed to ply on the roads following the bandh. Bandh organisers even vandalised a vehicle of Electricity Authority of Banke.

Meanwhile, government offices, banks and other offices were shut down by the bandh called by TMDP. Vehicles are also not seen plying on the roads.
