Banke reeling under intense heat

NEPALGUNJ: Daily life in Banke district has been affected by the steady rise in temperature in the afternoons.

The temperature here has been recorded as high as 38 degree Celsius, thereby restricting people into their homes.

The arrival of service recipients at government offices has also gone down with the sale of cold drinks going up.

The number of people coming to hospitals with complaints of communicable diseases has also increased for the past few days.

The Bheri Zonal Hospital, Nepalgunj and the Kohalpur Teaching Hospital are receiving 35 to 40 such patients daily, according to the hospital sources.
