Bara Police arrested two persons along with controlled substances in Amlekhgunj of Jeetpur Simara Sub-Metropolitan City-21 of Bara district.
They were arrested at 12:30 am on Wednesday with the arrestees later identified as Bibas Karki (27) of Panchakanya Rural Municipality of Nuwakot and Boby Tamang (31) of Bharatpur Metropolitan City-7 of Chitwan.
The police became suspicious of the motorcycle (Pr.3-02-009 Pa 4738) the duo was riding from Birgunj to Hetauda.
Upon conducting a search, the police discovered controlled substances concealed inside the helmets worn by both the rider and pillion.
The police recovered 18 pices of Norphine, 17 peices of Phenargan, 18 pieces of Diazepam.
According to the Deputy of Superintendent of Polcie (DSP) Dahiram Neupane and spokesperson for the Bara police, legal proceedings against them have been started.
