Mahottari, June 21:

Bardibas bazaar was closed today at the call of Bardibas Trade Association to protest the bombing of a petrol pump by Janatantrik Tarai Mukti Morcha (Rajan Mukti) cadres last night.

Cadres of JTMM (Rajan Mukti) had detonated a bomb in Kalash Petrol Pump in Bardibas bazaar last night, causing minor damage to the pump, police said. Normal life was affected and passengers bound for different destinations stranded on the way due to the shutdown.

The bazaar was closed to seek security for traders, said chairman of the association Suresh Raut. JTMM (Rajan Mukti) cadres also detonated a bomb nearby Baba Grocery Shop in Gaushala the same night. The blast, however, caused no damage to human life and property. Mahottari commander of JTMM (Rajan Mukti) Tuphan Singh Bidrohi owned up the incidents.
