Bhanu's contribution to Nepali literature incomparable: PM
KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has stressed on unity among all Nepali citizens for the protection of all languages, literature and culture existing in the country.
Addressing a special function organised by the Bhanu Foundation in commemoration of the 204th Bhanu Jayanti, the birth anniversary of poet Bhanu Bhakta Acharya in Kathmandu on Thursday, PM Deuba said that Bhanu's contribution for the promotion of Nepali literature and language was incomparable.
Deuba also mentioned that the role of language and literature is crucial for the prosperity of the nation.
On the occasion, the Prime Minister paid tribute to the Adikavi by garlanding his statue. Prior to the function, a morning procession was held as an honour to the country's pioneering poet.
