KANCHANPUR: Bhimdattanagar Municipality in Kanchanpur district and the Embassy of Israel have held consultations on exchange of bilateral cooperation here on Wednesday.

Mayor of the municipality Surendra Bista and Deputy Chief of Mission at the Embassy Tal Shvartsman held discussions on exchange of cooperation and on matters of mutual interest.

In the meeting, the Deputy Chief of Mission expressed commitment to expand cooperation with Bhimdattanagar Municipality until 2019.

He shared that Israel would provide support to the municipality for safety of Israeli tourists entering Nepal from Gaddachauki transit point on the Nepal-India border in Kanchanpur district.

Similarly, Shvartsman stated that Israel would extend support to the municipality for development of agriculture and urban development.

Mayor Bista, on the occasion, urged the Israeli embassy official to provide support for the promotion of tourism in the municipality.
