Bhusal further said more than 150 houses along the Tatopani-Liping road section in the district are at a high risk of being swept away by the flooded river as the torrential rain on the Chinese side has not stopped yet.

The flooded Bhoteskoshi has also swept away an Ncell tower whereas a Nepal Telecom tower is running out of electricity. Bhusal further said the tower could run for only few hours on a generator.

As the generator could not be operated for more than few days, the concerned authorities should make further arrangement to run the towers so as to maintain communication, added Bhusal.

He further added that the government should manage food stocks as the locals might run out of foods after few days as they only had the stock for more than four or five days.

Locals in coordination with the Tatopani VDC Secretary Dambar Bahadur Shrestha along with border police, Armed Police Force personnel, political party leaders and civil society have formed a Local Disaster Management Committee to manage the relief materials.
