Bhotekoshi River sweeps away 15 more houses

KATHMANDU: A flood in Bhotekoshi River swept away 15 more houses in Sindhupalchok district on Saturday.

According to Dibya Raj Paudel, Head of Humanitarian Values and Communications Department at the Red Cross, the flood washed away 12 houses in Tatopani and three houses in Liping of the district.

With this, the number of houses swept away by the floods in the Bhotekoshi River has reached 52, according to Paudel.

He informed that the flood also swept away an Ncell tower in Kodari.

He added that the water level in the river has not decreased yet.

Meanwhile, the Red Cross Sindhupalchok Chapter distributed relief to the flood and landslide victims in Tatopani, Naya Basti and Bahrabise areas.
