The district veterinary office Jhapa in a move to spread awareness among the people has intensified the people’s consciousness programme related to bird flu. The office organised a seminar related to the bird flu at the agricultural produce market in Birtamod today.

The seminar has decided to inform the veterinary office instantly if a large number of birds died simultaneously and form the supervision team consisting of rural veterinary health workers. Also, training was given on how information should be disseminated. Thirty-five rural veterinary health workers of the district participated in the programme.
