BHOJPUR: A biker died and a pillion rider sustained critical injuries in a pick-up truck-motorbike collision in Koshi Haraicha Municipality-3 along the Prithivi Highway in Morang district on Thursday.

According to the Eastern Regional Police Office, Biratnagar, the deceased has been identified as biker Santosh Ghimire (33) of Koshi Haraicha Municipality-1.

The incident occurred when the truck (Ko 1 Chha 7613) heading towards west from east collided head-on with the two-wheeler (Ko 7 Pa 3705) yesterday night.

Critically injured pillion rider Dan Bahadur Basnet (45) of Dangihat-5, is receiving treatment at the Neuro Hospital, Biratnagar.

Police said that they are looking into the case.
