BIRGUNJ: Birgunj remained tense throughout the day today as local youths protested the death of a student in an accident yesterday. Rambinesh Kushuwa, 24, who was hit by a motorcycle near Suresh Oil Store in Birgunj Sub-metropolitan City-15, last night, succumbed to injuries while being rushed to Kathmandu for treatment. The locals enforced a market closure since 9 am this morning. Though shops near Maisthan opened after 2 pm, other parts of the city remained shut throughout the day. Locals charged the police of releasing the accused.
