DHANGADI: Two women gave birth while they were queuing to cast their votes in the second phase of civic elections in Achham district on Wednesday.

Mina Bohara, 25, and Shubha  Das of Ramaroshan gave birth at Nandakali Primary School Polling Centre  ‘Ka’, in Batulasain of Ramaroshan Rural Municipality, of the district.

Both women gave birth to sons. “After they complained of labour pain, they sat on the side of the school and returned home after casting their ballots an hour after they gave birth,” said election officer Tapendra  BK. According to health workers, the condition of both mothers and babies is normal.
