Police arrested a cooperative operator for his involvement in black marketing of government subsidised chemical fertiliser at Kalaiya sub-metropolis in Bara on Monday. He was made public at Bara District Police Office, today.
The arrested has been identified as the operator of Kush Agriculture Cooperative Arun Kushwaha, 36, of the sub-metropolis. Police said Kushwaha was arrested on Monday and made public today after local farmers complained against him for selling subsidised chemical fertiliser at an exorbitant price. Police said that Kushwaha sold the subsidised chemical fertiliser offered by the government to farmers at a cheap rate.
The government has fixed the price Rs 2, 200 per sack of fertiliser, while Kushwaha sold it at Rs 2,800. Police have also seized the godown and arrested the operator for investigation.
Local farmer Gagandev Prasad Kushwaha of Mahagadimai Municipality filed a case against Arun in District Police Office.
