Blockade not relaxed yet, DPM KC says

PARBAT: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Poverty Alleviation and Cooperative Chitra Bahadur KC on Sunday said that Nepal witnessed the blockade from India for not drafting constitution in the interest of the foreigners.

Inaugurating the western regional-level mega women’s festival at Kushmabazaar in Parbat on Sunday, DPM KC said that country’s nationality is weakening due to the practice of doing things in the tune of foreigners.

KC added that the blockade imposed from India is still not relaxed.

On a separate context, KC also said that the government has run self-employment programmes to stop the uncontrolled outflow for foreign employment.

He also said that the women should not be merely limited to the kitchen instead they should keep active in economic, social and educational sectors.

The festival managed by the women is being organised from the Community Radio, Didibahini, and would continue till March 9.

Different stalls of local produces have been kept in the four-day event while different cultural shows would also be performed.
