Dhangadi, July 9

A boat service has been launched in Behadababa Lake in Dhangadi, Kailali from today.

Dhangadi Mayor Nrip Bahadur Wad and Deputy Mayor Sushil Mishra Bhatta jointly inaugurated the boat operation amidst a special puja today.

The boat operation is sure to attract more pilgrims and devotees to visit Gangamata temple located in the middle of  the lake. “Temple Management Committee has been given two boats to operate and take care of,” said Wad.

He said the municipality would add new boats as needed. “The municipality has expedited the process of constructing physical infrastructure in the municipality after devising the masterplan for the municipality’s development”, he added. Man Bahadur Chand said boat operation had made it easy to offer puja  at the temple even during the monsoon.

Deputy Mayor Bhatta said her office would accord top priority to the construction of physical structures at Behadababa.
