KATHMANDU, JUNE 10
The Danish Red Cross has handed over bags used for management of bodies in crisis situations such as COVID-19, floods, and landslides.
The support system was made in view of the shortage of bags for managing the bodies of COVIDinfected persons at the local levels.
The Representative of Danish Red Cross in Nepal handed over the bags to Executive Director at the apex body of humanitarian service, Umesh Dhakal.
The bags will be handed over to the hospital, COV- ID-19 Crisis Management Centre and district branches of Nepal Red Cross Society.
Dhakal thanked the Danish Red Cross for its assistance to a humanitarian cause. "Danish Red Cross has been providing mask, sanitiser and PPE to health workers and essential goods such as oxygen concentrators to the hospitals," he added.
It has also been conducting awareness campaigns for implementation of health protocols issued by the Ministry of Health and Population.
Representatives of the Danish Red Cross said they would continue to extend support to Nepal Red Cross Society.
