BHOJPUR: A bomb exploded at the house belonging to the Nepali Congress candidate in Siddheshwar of Bhojpur Municipality-4 of Bhojpur district on Tuesday.

The bomb exploded at around 7 am today at the house of Prem Bhandari, a candidate for ward chair in the district, said Deputy Superintendent of Police Kaji Kumar Acharya, the Chief at the Bhojpur District Police Office.

Meanwhile, another bomb found at the house was defused by security personnel, DSP Acharya further said.

The explosion has partly damaged the house, however, no human casualties have been reported, according to police.

Meanwhile, the search is on for the perpetrators involved in planting the bombs at the residence of NC candidate, said police.
