JHAPA: A socket bomb has been found in front of the office of a local newspaper Naulo Awaj in Bhadrapur, Jhapa.

According to Dipak Adhikari, editor of the newspaper, he had seen the bomb at around 3 am on Friday night when he came out of the office. A police team had cordoned off the area at around 4:30 am. The bomb was later defused by a Nepali Army team. Meanwhile, Arun Paswan, central chairman, Madhes Rastra Janatantrik Party (Revolutionary) has claimed that his party had planted the bomb there. Rabindra Sharma, Superintendent of Police, District Police Office, Jhapa, said Paswan and his group have been carrying out such criminal activities after he was removed from the Jwala Singh Group on the charge of embezzlement of money collected as donation. Before joining the Jwala Singh Group he was with the Maoists, however. According to editor Adhikari, such incidents have taken place due to security lapses.
