PYUTHAN: A boy, who had sustained burn injuries in a forest fire near his home in Ammare of Dhuwang-8, Pyuthan on Friday, died on Saturday.

He died while being rushed to hospital for treatment.

The boy had sustained burn injuries when he went to see a fire spread in a nearby community forest, according to his father Surya Nepali.

Victim’s younger brother and mother also suffered injuries while trying to save him.

The community forests in Dhuwang 7 and 8 are on fire for the past three days, but no efforts have been made by the authorities to douse the fire.
