DAMAULI: A boy lost his life when a tractor hit him at Chhangpatan in Myagde Rural Municipality-5 of Tanahun district, Tuesday evening.

The deceased has been identified as 12-year-old Vivek Pariyar, informed Superintendent of Police at Tanahun District Police Office, Binod Silwal.

According to SP Silwal, Pariyar was seriously injured in the incident and was taken to GP Koirala National Centre For Respiratory Diseases in the district where he breathed his last the same night during treatment.

The vehicle (Ga 1 Ta 4644) hit the child on its way to Seti river bank to load sand and gravels.

Body of the deceased has been taken to Damauli Hospital for postmortem while the tractor driver has been taken into police custody, said police.

Further investigation into the case is underway.
