Janakpur, July 15:

A school kid died this morning after being hit by a truck in Pushpawalpur of Dhanusa district.

Eight-year-old Arun Kumar Bulan, son of Khadga Bahadur Bulan of Pushpawalpur village development committee ward number six, was going to school when he was knocked down by a truck with registration number Na 2 Kha 6787, the Dhanusha District Police Office said.

He died on the way to the Janakpur Zonal Hospital. The truck and the driver both have been taken into the custody. Local people had blocked the road for some time protesting the accident but traffic resumed soon after the police intervened.
