KATHMANDU: A 77-year-old Covid-19 infected woman who was undergoing treatment at the Dharan-based BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences (BPKIHS) died Tuesday morning.

The woman who was receiving treatment at the Covid Hospital of the Institute passed away at 6:00 am today, informed BPKIHS.

She was a chronic patient of hypertension, the hospital added. She was admitted to the Covid Hospital on December 29 and she tested positive for the contagion on December 31.

Preparation for the last rites of the deceased is underway as per health guidelines, informed hospital.
