Bridge building resumes after six years

Dolalghat, January 15:

Re-construction of the bridge over Sunkoshi River in Kavrepalanchowk district has started six years after the construction works started.

Almost half of the construction work of the 96-metre bridge linking Araniko Highway to the east of Koshi river, had been completed some one year ago but was later halted due to lack of funds. The then government in 2057 BS had provided Rs 70 million for construction of the bridge. “Reconstruction started after the government allotted Rs 3 million this time,” said overseer Bindu Gopal Shrestha of Road Division Office.

According to Shrestha, Radha Steel Fabrication Trust and Nepal Adarsha Construction Company are engaged in the construction of the bridge, through the National Construction Company Nepal.
