Bridge constructed over Seti River
DAMAULI: Byas Municipality Tanahun has constructed a motorable bridge over Seti River at the cost of Rs 100 million. Engineer Shyamji Bhandari at Tanahun Hydro Project said the103 meter long bridge was built considering the 140 megawatt Tanahun Hydro Project under construction. Engineer Bhandari said that Nepal Electricity Authority had constructed the bridge in collaboration with the government. Bhandari said that bridge construction had made it easier for them to expedite the hydropower project. The hydropower project has received a total of Rs 42 billion from the NEA, Nepal government, ADB, JICA and European Investment Bank. The project is expected to be completed by 2022. The project has provided a total of Rs 420 million to compensate the landowners.
