2 killed, 23 injured in Pokhara bus accident
POKHARA/KATHMANDU: Two persons died and 23 others were injured when a bus met with an accident near the Yamdi Bridge in Pokhara-27 of Kaski district on Monday.
The deceased have been identified as Mana Rupa Aryal (47) of Gulmi district and her two-year-old grandson Archit, informed the Kaski District Police Office.
The injured are being treated at the Manipal Teaching Hospital. The injured are in stable condition, police added.
Police said the bus (Ga 1 Kha 6169) was on its way to Baglung from Kathmandu when the accident occurred.
Locals have said that the bus lost control and turned turtle after another bus had tried to overtake it near a turn along the road.
