Bus collision leaves 65 injured in Makawanpur
HETAUNDA: As many as 65 persons were injured, 25 seriously, when two buses collided with each other at Ramantar in Makawanpur along the Hetaunda-Narayangadh road section on Sunday.
According to the District Police Office, Makawanpur, the incident took place when the bus (Na 5 Kha 4096) heading towards Sarlahi from Kathmandu collided head-on with another bus (Na 4 Kha 4343) en route to Nepalgunj from Biratnagar at around 4 am today.
Police said that the critically injured persons were rushed to the Old Medical Hospital in Chitwan while nineteen others are receiving treatment at a local health post.
Some 21 persons, who sustained minor injuries in the incident, have already returned home after receiving primary treatment, SP Meera Chaudhary.
