INARUWA: A cyclist who was hit by a bus on Sunday in Duhabi Municipality-3 of Sunsari district, died during the course of treatment on Tuesday.

The deceased has been identified as Sushil Sharma (42) of Duhabi Municipality-6 in the district.

The bus (Na 5 Kha 4997) en route to Biratnagarat hit Sharma who was riding on his bicycle, along the Koshi Highway in the district, according to the District Police Office, Sunsari.

Critically injured Sharma was rushed to the Biratnagar-based Golden Hospital where he breathed his last during the course of treatment, informed police.

Meanwhile, police have impounded the vehicle and detained its driver.

Further investigation into the incident is underway, said police.
