SURKHET: A woman died when a bus hit her in Litakot village of Jumla district.

The deceased has been identified as Maya Sarki (27), a permanent resident of Sundar village in Tatopani Municiplaity-2 of Jumla district, informed Chudamani Pun, Police Inspector at Surkhet District Police Office.

The accident occurred when the bus ( Na 4 Kha 7243) en route from Jumla to Kathmandu hit Sarki along the Jarmi and Litakot road section.

Police have arrested the driver and impounded the vehicle.

Further investigation into the case is underway.
