GORKHA: A man died after he was engulfed in flames when a fire broke out in his house at Butar, in Makaisingh VDC, Gorkha on Monday.

The deceased has been identified as Durga Bahadur Shrestha, 69. He suffered first-degree burn injuries when his house caught fire last night. He died en route to Kathmandu for treatment. He was taken to Bharatpur prior to being taken to the capital.

According to the police, the fire completely damaged Shrestha's two-storey house.
