KATHMANDU, AUGUST 7

The Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) has released the identities of all five individuals killed in a helicopter crash this afternoon in Shivachaur of Shivapur Rural Municipality-7, Nuwakot.

An Air Dynasty helicopter, 9N-AJD, crashed after taking off from Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu at 1:54 PM, en route to Syafrubesi in Rasuwa.

The helicopter was ferrying four Chinese nationals, along with its Captain Arun Malla.

The Chinese nationals have been identified as Tang Jutao, Wu Yiyao (female), Li Jie, and Xie Zeming, according to the Search and Rescue Coordination Center of the CAAN.

Authorities have recovered the bodies of all deceased individuals and sent them to the Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital in Maharajgunj, Kathmandu, for postmortem.

The helicopter lost contact with the Kathmandu tower just three minutes after takeoff, according to the CAAN.

In response, a Prabhu helicopter (9N-ANL) was dispatched to the crash site immediately after the incident was reported.
