JANAKPUR:  Cadres of different Madhes-based political parties on Thursday hoisted black flags atop the houses of Nepali Congress leader Bimalendra Nidhi and Parmila Das in Dhanusha.

It has been learned that the cadres first hoisted black flag atop the house of Nidhi and later marched towards Das’s house for the same.

Nidhi was elected to the parliament from Dhanusha constituency 3 while Yadav was nominated under the Proportional Representation system. The former is also the Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transport int he current government.

The black flags were hoisted to protest the two leaders for the consent to promulgate the anti-Madhes constitution.

Security has been beefed up in the area.

No reports of any major damage have been reported yet.
