Call to surrender arms and ammunition in Banke
BANKE: The Banke District Administration Office has issued a notice asking the residents to surrender any licensed or unlicensed arms, ammunition and explosives that they own.
The notice was issued in view of the upcoming local level elections to maintain law and order in the society, informed Assistant Chief District Officer Krishna Bahadur Khadka.
According to the notice, people have to hand over the weapons to the DAO by April 6.
Anyone found to be in possession of such weapons after expiry of the notice would be punished as per the law, police added.
