Call to let press thrive

Khasauli, August 12:

Speakers at an interaction held here yesterday stressed the need for coordination between journalists and entrepreneurs for the development of journalism outside the Valley.

The speakers were addressing an interaction organised here by the Federation of Nepalese Journalists (FNJ), Rupandehi Branch.

At the programme, FNJ branch chairman, DR Ghimire, suggested that the chiefs of the media houses should first identify the problems, hold consultations with each other and come up with concrete plans to resolve the problems. Central president of the Press Chautari Nepal, Bal Krishna Chapagain, urged entrepreneurs to think of journalists’ plight.

Chairman of the Great Vision Publication, Shyam Pathak, demanded that the state bring a concrete policy on advertisements.
