DHADING: Police arrested four persons with weapons and a huge cache of cannabis from Dhading’s Benighat Rorang Rural Municipality on Friday.

The arrestees have been identified as Gunja Bahadur Ghalan, 40; Tholukanchha Tamang, 40; Sanokanchha Tamang, 30, and Bir Bahadur Tamang, 32, of Owang village.

Acting on a tip-off, a joint police team from Dandakharka Police Post, Area Police Office Gajuri and Provincial Police Office of Hetauda had nabbed them.

While police seized three guns from Gunja Bahadur’s and Thulokanchha’s houses, they seized two guns and around 500 kg marijuana from Bir Bahadur’s and Sanokanchha’s houses.

All four are in detention at District Police Office, Makawanpur, for necessary investigation.
