Case against Nachghar musician for fake credentials

KATHMANDU: The Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) on Monday filed a charge sheet at the Special Court against Sudesh Raj Sharma, a senior music manager at the Rastriya Nachghar, claiming that he used fake certificate to get the job at the state-owned body.

Sharma had submitted the certificate of Intermediate level, apparently acquired from the Bihar Intermediate Education Council, Patna, in 1987 for his initial appointment. But it turned out to be fake, the CIAA said.

The constitutional anti-graft body has sought maximum penalty against Sharma as per the anti-corruption acts.
